PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN OF THE CHURCH (PWOC)

PWOC Heads to Pensacola

Women who have been participating in the monthly PWOC meetings will be heading over to Pensacola at 9 AM on Monday, March 2nd, to carry an honor westward. After years of service to Shalimar Presbyterian Church, Mildred Patterson - who now lives at Carpenter's Creek - will be honored with a Presbyterian Women Church-wide Achievement Award. We hope you will want to send Mildred a note of congratulations after March 2nd to share in our joy. If you want to come on the journey with PWOC, give the church a call.

PWOC to Feed the Flock on March 8th

From March 8-11, SPC will be hosting a small group of college students on a mission trip. The young adults with the Rev. Bruce Chapman, their pastor at the Presbyterian University Center (PUC) at Florida State University (FSU) will be coming to help SPC with some of the remaining projects related to the renovation of the Kay Tyler Education Building...and beyond. PWOC will host a lite-luncheon on the 8th to welcome our guests who are coming to serve. All are invited to join in. Your contributions to the luncheon are welcome, as well.

PWOC Rummage/Bake Sale on March 14th

PWOC will be holding a rummage sale here at the church on Saturday, March 14 from 8-1. All contributions of saleable stuff and hours of service are welcome. We're proud to do our rummage sales asa "free will offering," so there's no pricing to be done and no negotiating required. Come help out by bringing baked goods, with placing things out for sale and/or just having a fun day with your Presbyterian sisters. And, of course, shopping!
